AUTISM ASSESSMENT

An autism assessment includes:

  • Initial 15-minute phone call at no cost to understand referral question and reason for seeking the assessment

  • Completion of intake paperwork

  • In person testing with client that includes cognitive testing, autism specific testing, clinical interviewing, and additional testing per the referral question

  • Interview assessments (in person or online, conducted with a parent, caregiver, relative, or partner) to gather developmental history and adaptive functioning information

  • Self-report questionnaire measures

  • Gather information from school staff, treating therapists or and/or psychiatrists

  • You have access to me throughout the assessment when any additional questions come up or for additional support is needed

  • Autism is the focus of the evaluation but I can assess and diagnose other DSM-5-TR diagnoses

  • *All ages can be seen, children to adults, with special attention paid to neurodiverse affirming care throughout the assessment. Please note the rate shifts when working with adults who do not include the caregiver/parent interview. The interview assessments are required for child clients.

Once testing is completed, I move quickly to give you results:

  • Verbal feedback session shortly after testing process is complete

  • 15-25 page strength-based report detailing results, diagnosis and recommendations, sent within 7 days of the verbal feedback session

  • Connection to local resources and support

Rate:

  • The rate for an autism assessment starts at $3,800. Additional testing added per referral question is subject to an increased fee. For adult assessments which may require fewer measures/hours of testing, the rate can be adjusted. Please note that in the fee reflects my level of training and expertise, over a decade diagnosing autism for all ages, my strength-based and affirming care and approach, and the thoughtfulness I bring to each individual and each family.

  • The rate includes the direct service hours, scoring/analyzing data, and report writing.

  • I do not currently accept any form of insurance. You will be provided a superbill upon request to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement, depending on your out-of-network benefits. Please note rate is subject to change. Please contact me for the current rate.

  • Hourly rate for follow up services is $260/hour

  • All major credit cards, debit cards, checks and cash are accepted. Please note that paying by credit or debit card incurs a 2.5% Stripe processing fee.

GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE Information:

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises
